Meriam Library Innovation Lab
The Meriam Library Innovation Lab houses a wide range of technology available for use including three Ultimaker 3D printers, a vinyl cutter, a sewing machine, and a button maker. This equipment is all available for use by appointment. The space also house three high powered computers with specialized software for creation and plenty of tables and workspaces for you to work on your projects. Using the Space
The Meriam Library Innovation Lab is an open study and creative space on the second floor of the Meriam Library. Entering and using the space is allowed freely, however using the equipment must be done via an appointment. Walk-ins are allowed as long as the equipment is available for the time you're visiting. It is highly recommended to make an appointment as availability is not guaranteed for walk-ins.
Technology Lending
The Innovation Lab is home to Meriam Library's Technology Lending. Meriam Library has a robust collection of technology items for check out including DSLR cameras, advanced graphing calculators, laptops, raspberry pi and more. Making an Appointment
All of our equipment, and the space itself, can be reserved for use. To make an appointment click here, which will bring you to the appointment webpage housed on the library website. From this form, the piece of equipment or the space can be selected and reserved for the desired time period. Please arrive on time to your appointment and check in at the Innovation Lab desk to confirm your arrival.
Special Requests
The Innovation Lab wants to help! If you have any special requests for using the space such as reserving the space for events or other questions not covered by this guide, email the Meriam Library Innovation Lab Team at libsysoffice@csuchico.edu with your questions. A staff member will get back to you as quickly as possible. The Innovation Lab is open to working with our campus community and strives to provide patrons with a space to be creative!
