Sewing in the Innovation Lab
The innovation lab is also in possession of a JUKI DU-1181N Sewing Machine. This sewing machine accepts a multitude of fabric and fabric thicknesses based on the installed needle. The Innovation Lab stocks a number of needles available for use.
The needle sizes available are as follows: Universal Needles (130/705 H) - 70/10, 80/12, 90/14 and 100/16.
Appointments
Appointments can be made via our website. These half-hour appointments are to hold the equipment available for your use and for you to ask any questions you may have. Please arrive on time to your appointment and check in at the Innovation Lab desk to confirm your arrival.
NOTE: There are no Meriam Library staff members able to provide assistance or support with the sewing machine. The sewing machine should only be used by those familiar and experienced with similar machines. A waiver will need to be signed accepting liability for any injuries that may occur during use.
