GSEC 50th Anniversary University Archives

Recommended Formats Statement identifies hierarchies of the physical and technical characteristics of creative formats, both analog and digital, which will best meet the needs of all concerned, maximizing the chances for survival and continued accessibility of creative content well into the future.

The collection covers 1982- 2017; with the bulk of materials created between 2000- 2017. The materials document the administrative and event planning activities of GSEC, illustrating their funding structure while the organization operated under the governance of CSUC Associated Students enterprise. GSEC operations were run by student employees, paid as interns by Associated Students. During the early 2000s GSEC interns were tasked with creating "legacy binders" to illuminate their organizing efforts to incoming interns. These binder contents make up the bulk of the Event Planning series (Boxes 3-6).

CSUC has provided all students, staff, and faculty a license to the Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes Photoshop.
