Course Guide for students in Dr. Transchel's History 490W.

Secondary Sources

Secondary sources are created after the event by someone who was not directly involved at the time of the event. Secondary sources usually come in the form of books or academic articles. Often secondary sources, utilize primary resources as their base for discussion.

To find secondary sources, use the listed catalogs to find books or the databases to find academic articles. Make sure to use descriptive keywords.

Tip: When researching, most recently published secondary sources are typically better than those published decades ago.
