Sometimes the library will not have the materials you need. To use resources from other libraries use Interlibrary Services (ILS). ILS is available to request books, articles, and other items. Often the ILS link is provided directly in the database and is the easiest way to submit a request. Follow the "FIND IT" link and click the link Request your item through Interlibrary Services.
To use the system, you must first set up an account. To directly logon go to Interlibrary Services.
This worksheet offers a few tips and tricks to delve deeper into the area you are studying. You can also use it as a place to take notes as you progress through your research.
Have you found a great journal article but don't know if the library has the item you want? A quick way to see if the library has the article is to link the library to Google Scholar. Then search by title or author in Google Scholar. If you are searching by title then try putting quotation marks around the title so Google Scholar will search for that exact title. Once you have done your search you should see a (Find It @ Chico) link. By clicking the link you will then either be directed to a library resource or Interlibrary Services. To link to the Meriam Library follow the below steps:
1. Once in Google Scholar, go to Settings at the top of the page
2. Click on Library links
3. Search for CSU, Chico; select and save
4. You may be directed to login to your portal account to verify library access
