Leganto @ CSU Chico

This guide provides information regarding Leganto at California State University, Chico.

Leganto Overview

Leganto is an ExLibris product which provides a connection between BBLearn and OneSearch, the library's discovery system. Leganto can also be used as a stand alone product. Within Leganto, faculty instructors create reading lists in an organized and easy to use manner.

QLS and CAL$ Presentation

Access to Leganto is available two ways:

1) Faculty login to BBLearn and create a connection to Leganto.  Making this connection establishes an instructor role in Leganto for the faculty member. Reading lists can then be created in Leganto. PPT presentation on logging into Leganto via BBLearn (3 slides; also available below).

2) Faculty can contact Jodi Shepherd (jrshepherd@csuchico.edu) to be set up as a instructor in the library's system. If a faculty member would like a TA to use Leganto for their course, please send an email to Jodi with the student(s) name and indicate which course they would be assisting with.

Library Materials

Library licensed materials are provided for CSU Chico affiliated faculty, staff, and students, and a CSU Chico username and password are required for sign-in authentication to access licensed materials. If a faculty member is found to be providing library materials without requiring proper authentication, the following will occur:

1) The faculty member will be notified of the items which are out of compliance and recommended to either properly link them in their course or remove them.

2) If the faculty member does not comply with the notice, the faculty's access to Leganto will be turned off and the materials will be removed from the system.

Please direct any questions about this policy to the dean, Patrick Newell.
