Online Reference Books

The Gale Virtual Reference Library contains the Encyclopedia of World Cultures (1996), the World of Forensic Science (2005), Countries and Their Cultures (2001), and other publications relevant for  anthropology. To see what titles are in the Gale library, and to search within individual Gale titles, click on the plus + symbols at the bottom of the Basic Search page.

Print Reference Books

In the advanced search mode of the library's catalog, you can limit your search to reference books by selecting "Reference" in the drop down menu for "Location" and entering your topic of interest in the search boxes above.

Other Reference Sources

Human Relations Area Files (HRAF) 
Not all of the content in the HRAF collection has been converted to digital format and placed online in eHRAF. For a list of materials that have been converted see the report on the HRAF website. The Human Relations Area Files (HRAF)  materials not yet converted are available in the HRAF microfiche collection located on the second floor of the Library.
