Continuity of Library Research & Services

This guide will help you locate and access library research and instructional support resources during th Covid-19 pandemic.

Operating Hours & Floors

Meriam Library is closed to patrons at this time,
with most faculty and staff working remotely.

Library services are available online.
Requesting of physical items for pickup is available starting July 2020.

Details are available in this guide.

Checking Out Materials
Items can be requested through OneSearch and will be pulled and checked out to patrons. Pick up of items will be 8am-12pm, Monday and Thursdays, for Summer 2020 starting July 9. More information on Requesting titles from the Meriam Library. The Meriam Library remains closed to entry.

Due Dates Extended
Books, reserve items, and technology lending due dates have been extended through the end of summer.

Late Fees
All late fees have been waived.

Returning Items
All due dates have been extended, so you do not need to return items at this time. If you do return items via the the book drop in the library breezeway, they are being processed twice a week and are undergoing a 72 hour quarantine after they are returned.

Physical Items
The building is closed, and we are not borrowing or lending physical items from other libraries.

Electronic Items
Interlibrary Services Borrowing is working remotely and can STILL provide articles and book chapters from electronic holdings.  This department is part of a large consortium of academic and public libraries across the U.S. who are also ALL working remotely.  They can access their electronic holdings.  Submit those kinds of requests as you normally have done.

E-Book Alternatives for Departments
Every academic department is allocated book funds. If you would like to inquire about a possible e-book purchase, please contact Jodi Shepherd at

Campus has compiled a list of resources for those who may need assistance with cheap or free internet. Please visit the Internet Connectivity Resources webpage for more information.
